I was in a caraccident caused by another Safeco driver. Safeco decided to 'defend' the other
driver. Safeco dragged their feet at every turn when it came to authorizing a rental car or paying compensation.
No offer was made on the wrecked car until 2months after the wreck. Meanwhile they stopped
authorization on the rental within 15 days. They called a relative to harassthem to telling me to return the rental.
I faxed the bills repeatedly to them, I called left messages. They would only returnmmy calls while I was at work and unable call them back or answer. This went onmfor a year. I called again a few days before the anniversary of the wreck the woman responded 'Oh, I don"t know why this has taken so long..."
During the final negotiation I listed ALL of the medical providers to be paid. She agreed. I verified again who would be paid, again she agreed again. I check my credit two of the providers were never paid.
Do not trust Safeco as youmcar insurance company. They only want your money, & treat you like scum whenmyou have a legitimate claim. They choose whom they will protect.
By the way this was a head on collision caused by a distracted driver with large soda in hand, talking to the passenger while slowly crossing a divided highway in the morning rush hour. Stopped several time in the middle of the road. They never looked left. Had any of the speeding construction trucks hit them, both would be dead.
