I took my 2000 Kia in for a 60,000 mile service. I asked them to check the winding sound in the engine, a possible belt? And to check a noise associated with the front breaks or near there. They had a car around 2 1/2 hours and I was called to pick it up. I test drove it, and the winding noise was still there along with the break noise. I asked them to recheck it and left it again. I received a call stating I needed new front breaks.

I picked up the car later and was charged the service quote of $520.00 plus an additional $238.25 for replacement of my front breaks. I paid and left, the service dept was already closed. I looked at the service quote and the breaks should have been checked while they serviced my car. I also noticed the noise in the front engine compartment was still there. Within a week my break light came on and stayed on, my break fluid was under minimum, I had no washer fluid.

Within 2000 miles, i had no oil and my engine light was going on and off. I truley believe my car wasn't even serviced. Even the service quote states they check and tighten all chassis/body nuts and bolts, well guess what both my side mirrors are about to fall off.

I am not happy at all with the service I received and feel I should not have been charged so much for front breaks, because i feel I am being charged again for a service call when they should have done them when the car was being serviced. For a customer to tell them what to check or what they forgot to check is pretty bad.
