Having been a faithful Renault client for a long time, I had been terrified to find out the price of changing a damaged brake wire on my Beautifulis electric handbrake. Firstly, you CAn't change simply the wire, you've to displace the whole handbrake (an extremely lightweight little bit of package). Subsequently, the price is exorbitant at £354 excl tax. Finally, and toughest of, once installed the pc needs to be reprogrammed to determine the brand new handbrake, which involves another visit to the sellers (the only real types using the newest update) and another £72 excl tax. Therefore, complete price of alternative = £511 incl tax, plus 2 excursions towards the sellers. A price with my different vehicle (a Corsa) is £18 to displace the wire. Renault's a reaction to my grievances notice was to try to promote me another vehicle in a small discount. This isn't the very first time that I've needed to reprogramme the pc, usually at a price of £72. It appears as if they've you covered to their sellers' computers. Be informed! I'll not be purchasing from Renault again till they quit dual charging for changing what's currently a really costly fix.
