My car was towed from the parking lot of the Silver Diner, and I had to pay $125 to get it back.
My wife and I dined at the Silver Diner in Arlington on Friday evening (April 20th). We parked in the parking lot, and went straight in to the restaurant.
When we left the restaurant, we found that our car was missing. As we walked around the parking lot looking for it, a man called Charlie approached us, and told us that he our car had been towed, since he had seen us leave the premises and go across the street.
We had not left the premises, and we did not cross any street.
We went back into the restaurant. They were to give us a copy of our receipt, but they said that the parking lot is not owned by the restaurant, so they could do nothing to help there.
We called the police. The police spoke to the towing company on our behalf, but the towing company stuck to the (false) story that Charlie had watched me and my wife leave the premises.
So, we had to pay $125 to get our car back.
