Ripoff rude All they want is money that does not belong to them

I financed a car through this company in January. I paid for this car for over a year with payments of 298 per month. After paying this company for that time, I was late once. I received a phone call saying that I was, not 1, but 2 months late and that they required a payment in the amount of $700 to get my account current. I did as they asked thinking that there would be no further problems.

The following month BEFORE my next payment was even due, I got another phone call once again requesting $700.00. When asked why they wanted that money when my payment of $298 wasn't even due for another 2 weeks, the response that I got was "We just do". I was then told that if I wanted to keep the vehicle that I would have to pay Seawest a total of $700.00 every 2 weeks only to be sent by Western Union, until the balance was paid in full. After advising the idiot that I would not be doing that, as I had a contract in the amount of $298 every MONTH, he hung up on me.

I then immediatly received a phone call from his supervisor telling me the exact same thing. I told her that I would be sending no further payments and that they needed to pick up the vehicle.

I have not made a payment on this vehicle since March and have had no contact with Seawest since June when they finally stopped harassing me. I do not even have the vehicle any longer, as Seawest very well knows, but I am unable to resolve this issue with them. I have tried to settle with them, but they want over $12,000 on a car that I bought for $9,000 and have already paid $4,400.00

I would advise anyone who considers doing business with this company to be very careful. Buying a car through Seawest will not help your credit unless you are willing to pay at least double what the car is worth and you also must pay whatever amount they want at any given time. If you have that kind of cash then I would reccommend just buying the car outright
