I bought my car from a dealership, who used SeaWest Financial for the loan. I authorized SeaWest to take money out of my account for automatic payments every month. I called and talked to Darren and told him my payment would be a little late and asked him to take out a payment of 311.07 on May 10 which he agreed to. I received a note from the bank stating I had incurred an overdraft. I called the bank, and found out that the payment was taken out on April 30, approx 2 weeks early. The fees for the overdraft and bounced checks added up to 292 dollars.
SeaWest refused to pay any of the fees, and applied the 311 to the account. I called Darren very upset, and told him that I was not authorizing any more automatic payments. He kept telling me that he HAD to have a check number for his records to show ability to pay. I refused to give him one, and the following month I sent in a payment via western union for 388. I went by the bank to take out some money with the atm and found a negative balance. I called the bank, and found that SeaWest used a fake check number 555, to take out another payment of 388.
I immediately went to the bank, the bank notified SeaWest of the fraud they committed. SeaWest admitted it was a mistake, via Darren, and 2 months later I am still waiting for my money from both occurances.
