My car broke down and I needed to purchase a new one. A friend introduced me to Jean because he was working with a used car dealer to purchase vehicles at auction and resell them. He found me a 1994 Toyota Corolla for $1595. After speaking with him, we agreed that he would charge me a $200 flat fee in addition to the price paid for the vehicle itself, to cover tax, tag & title, for a total of $1795. He delivered the car right away, provided temporary registration paperwork for my current tag, and said he would process the paperwork for getting the title transferred over to my name. About 6 months later, I get pulled over and get a ticket for incorrect registration because my temporary paperwork expired and, according to the police officer's records, the vehicle still was not in my name. I contacted him again and he stated that they had had a little trouble getting the title into their name from the auction, but that he would take care of it.
