I brought my 1999 GMC Sonoma to Monro Muffler to have the U-Joints replaced. After the work was done I noticed a slight vibration when I drove. I took the truck to a GMC dealership to have it looked at, they informed of the following.
When Monro Muffler replaced my U-joints they placed the drive shaft in a vise and squished it. They also used a torch on the aluminum shaft partially melting it, all of this caused the shaft to go out of balance, resulting in the vibration when I drove. I had to have the drive shaft replaced. $.
I went to the Munro Muffler shop which did the work and caused the damage, they agreed to pay for the parts and labor of the new drive shaft and to refund the cost of the U-joint replacement. I filled out paper work and the Manager, Tim Pollock, said I would have a check in a couple of weeks. Four months later and several the check is in the mail promises and still I wait.
