I needed to ship my car from San Diego, CA to Wake Forest, NC, which is close to Raleigh. I spoke with DAS sales' person (Armando), who told me that my car would be delivered in a 9-15 day window. My car was still in CA 15 days after being taken by DAS.
I left many messages for Armando and the head of customer service (Simone); I have yet to receive a call back from them. It has been 20 days since DAS took my car, and my car is still in CA. They can't tell me when it will get here. I've been given many different reasons why it hasn't been shipped (e.G. Not enough cars for a load, too many cars, floods).
The customer service representatives who I am able to reach are very rude and unsympathetic to my predicament. They simply tow the company line and tell you to read your contract, which states that delivery times are ESTIMATES only. And they have said that they will not cover my rental car expenses, which are becoming huge.
I plan on contesting the charge with my credit card company, in addition to filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Comission. If my business operated this way, we would have been out of business a long time ago.
