As a repeat customer of Dependable Auot Shipper, I entered a contract for pick-up of a vehicle on June 23 for delivery to Linden New Jersey on July 1. To assure prompt delivery, the DAS sales rep suggested that I purchase expedite service, which I did.
After four consecutive days of calling DAS customer service and waitinbg more than 30 mins on the company's hold loop, I finally reached a customer service rep today July 1. To my surprise, the customer service rep informed me that my vehicle remained at its point of origin and there was no date for departure scheduled. The customer service rep was not able to assist me, not able to refer me to a manager, nor able to tell me why the vehicle was not schedule yet expediting service was contracted and paid for - in his words "the sales person must have signed you up on a prayer." When I asked to hold on the phone until a manager was available, the DAS customer rep indicated that he had to end the call, and did!
As I trust every consumer would agree, the process to contact DAS, my intreraction with customer servive and the lack of reliability from initial contact to not having my vehicle delivered (or knowninbg when it will be loaded or delivewred) is completely unacceptable. I am on my way to rent a car while DAS has my vehicle at their port of origin.
The only opinion that I can draw from this experience is that DAS has to much business to care about the cusomer - wow, what an experience.
