In October we reviewed and compared rates with Geico
and other companies before applying to Geico. Geico thoroughly reviewed our credit history, including
current bankruptcy, loss record, driving records etc. After completing all of their due diligence they offered us a rate that we accepted and completed the application process for new coverage with them. We then cancelled our long-standing Allstate policy. We notified Geico of a claim on 1/17 after Scottsdale PD called to advise us of vandalism and theft of parts, stereo, rims, tires etc to our covered vehicle. Geico set up a rental car that they agreed to provide through Enterprise and we picked it up the next day. Geico's claim adjuster Nathan Roberts (480-268-0065) went to Penske Landrover of North Scottsdale to adjust the
vehicle damage. During this visit, in front of dealer technician and service department supervisor, Nathan
explained he was sure it was an "inside job", according to the Landrover employees meaning that we were involved in criminal activity in the claim. Lucky for us Nathan is judge, jury and executioner. The real issue here is that we are 10-year clients of Penske's with many personal and business vehicles and over 1 million dollars in purchases to date from that dealer. We also have other business relationships with that dealer. Nathan Roberts then advised us the claim was on hold during an investigation, which we have no energy over, that is their right. We don't agree with his demand that "we move the vehicle before the day was over, as they were refusing to pay even one day of storage". It was already after 3pm and the vehicle had no wheels! Nathan advised us it was our duty to "mitigate damages as much as possible", while Geico is in breach of contract and the most extreme bad faith I have ever seen. I sold insurance for 9 years! We met their investigator Tony Crimini, a real professional, as they requested on 1/30. The next day we received a voicemail from Christine Baker, another true professional, that said, " we are going to pay you for your claim". Nathan Roberts then intentionally submitted false information to the database to lower the value of the vehicle by approximately 30%. He did the same thing to obtain a false salvage bid to benefit him, his company, or his relationships at our expense including by falsely claiming the vehicle was a total loss. On two separate occasions Nathan failed to renew our rental car, charging our credit card. We had to return car, he never reset our car up. Now we pay out of our pocket. Nathans manager Rich Salo never returned 5 calls or emails, when he eventually did; he lied on several fronts, and promised to reimburse us the next day. An email at 10 in the morning said I will get with you shortly, well 8 calls, texts and emails later the coward never manned up and returned my call and stiffed me and hung me and my family out to dry again by continuing not to pay our claim, after they agreed to. Rich Salos manager Don Jensen has never called in 3 weeks of raising hell and continued calls to the home office are completely un-responded to with this company. They use a great con-they wont give you email addresses so you cant make paper trails. They dont care and are an embarrassment to the very word customer service. I look forward to hearing from a class action attorney, I am sure their are 8 of us that are getting bent over by Geico and their staff of Nathan Roberts and Rich Salo and company!
