Geico Likes to avoid paying out on insurance claims at all cost. Even the small ones that you think should be no big deal for a megacorporation.
Case in point: One case in which a Geico insured vehicle is taken without permission from the owner. The driver then hits another vehicle and leaves the sceen of the accident. End of story?
Not so fast, the victum got the plate number of the vehicle and there were 2 other witnesses to the accident who have given statements to the police.
To make a long story short. Geico will not pay the claim requested by the victum because they say the vehicle was stolen. The Owner of the vehicle will not press charges against his friend because he doesn't want to hurt his friend. But if he dosen't charge him, then Geico must pay because the vehicle was not reported stolen.
Geico is giving this poor devil the runaround to avoid paying a measly 2,000 dollors so he can repair the damage to his car.
If this how they deal with a small claim then I would hate to have to deal with them if there was a personnal injury involved in the accident.
