Liars, ripoff, untrue, dishonest

Copy of certified letter sent to dealership:

My wife and I purchased the above referenced vehicle at your dealership on August 29. During the test drive a vibration was noticed while driving at highway speeds. As a condition of the sales contract a WE OWE' slip was issued to correct this problem.

Three tires were replaced on the first visit to the service department on or about September 15. This did not correct the problem. A second visit was scheduled on or about September 30 and resulted in the replacement of the right front axel. Again, the vibrations were felt. A third visit on or about October 22 led to the rear rotors being machined. The fourth, unofficial visit was a road test with Tom which resulted in his suggestion that I schedule another visit. I scheduled the fifth or fourth official' visit for December 12.

During the afternoon of December 12, I received a phone call informing me that the vehicle was found to be within General Motor's specifications and no further action was to be taken by your dealership. I then called and left a message for you and afterwards, the General Motors Customer Hotline where I communicated this series of events. A short while later Jeff called to discuss the matter.

During the conversation I was left with the impression that this issue was being treated as if it were all in my head. I know that this isn't the case as I've had others drive the vehicle just to confirm that indeed there are vibrations. Jeff asked if I wanted to be traded-out' of the vehicle. Ken called shortly after my conversation with Jeff to empathize and mentioned that a trade-out' candidate might be located at an upcoming auction. I was left with the impression that this would be a fairly quick process. I waited until after the Christmas and New Year holidays to call Ken for a status update. I was told to be patient. I phoned Ken a second time on or about January 05 and he indicated that I might have better luck finding a replacement if I were to broaden my horizons. I have yet to receive a timeline, a call offering up a set of choices to be considered, or even an explanation of what a trade-out' means to me financially.
I consider the failure to correct the vibration problem a breach of contract and request that Country Chevrolet retake ownership and refund the trade value and cash at closing (total: $4,538) to me by Friday, January 23. Please contact me personally via telephone at my office (or by certified mail at the address listed above so that this issue can be resolved expeditiously.
FYI: I was issued a WE OWE' slip on misaligned front clip. I was assured that the misalignment was due to the heat of the sun warping the plastic and nothing else by Jeff, Ken, and Tom (another WE OWE'). An Olds dealer recently took all of 10 minutes to tell me that this vehicle has had a prior frontal impact and it took an auto insurance appraiser about 5 minutes to tell me the same and show me the overspray areas.
