Purchasesd a brand new car 2 months ago. At point of sale I was given terms (months) of lease and date of first payment. When I went to finalize paperwork they had added 12 months to the lease and asked for an additional payment. When I complained they said "Oh, sorry you ar eright" - they knew exactly what they were doing - trying to slip in another 13 payments. They said I was right and that they were sorry.
Next to delivery of vehicle - only one set of keys and the owners manual was for another model car with a different name. I pointed that out and the sales manager promised they would mail correct manual and the spare key (that was two months ago). So I called and complained with no response. I called and left voice mail again saying if they didnt call me back I would have to fill out VW survey honestly and unfavorably - no response. So I e-mailed the sales manager Mr. F. Perkins. No response! I filled out the VW survey and guess what - he called me right away and said that he would mark my problem as resolved and "overnight" me a manual and new key. We verefied my address. That was 3 weeks ago and still nothing in the mail.
Today is Sunday so Monday morning I will call VW corporate I guess. I was warned not to buy from these guys but I didnt listen. All car dealsrs are not liars and cheats but buyers beware if you want a VW in Virginia. It is amazing to me that in a down car economy this dealership does not seem to give a toss about customers.
