After receiving many letters from Motor Vehicle Services that were entitled "extremely urgent and time sensitive" to advise me that my factory warranty was expiried or expiring, I decided to place a call to check the company. I spoke with a first customer representative and gave him the Code indicated on their letter, he made me wait a few minutes to check if I could qualify for their warranty. Of course... I did qualify. He then advised me that I had to make up my mind IMMEDIATELY after the quote. He transferred me to a second person who after asking me exactly the same question (year of the car, mileage...) gave me the quote!!! I have a 2009 Toyota XD and their quote for a Platinum warranty was $2900 for 5 years and a $100 deductible per accident or problem. I laughed, and told them that because they wanted an immediate answer, my answer was NO... I was not interested.
I am writing this report because after checking with my dealer, for the EXACT SAME warranty, Motor Vehicle Services is exactly THREE TIMES MORE EXPENSIVE!!! My toyota dealer is offerering this warranty for $1051.
Please do not buy any warranties from Motor Vehicle Services, be smart and shop around.
