Bought a used vehicle advertised at a certain mileage as verified by CarFax and Odometer Disclosure Statement provided by dealer. Prior to taking ownership odometer was not functional, but assumed to be correct based on the above docuemntation. Upon taking ownership, found vehicle to have more than 2,700 miles more than listed. Was told a mistake had been made as the car had been driven upon being purchased at auction by Portsmouth Ford, and that the price would have been the same if listed at the correct mileage. No other offer was made to correct the situation, other than to return the vehicle. I would avoid Portsmouth Ford, typical used car salesmen.
