My husband took our Jeep Grand Cherokee into sears auto in Montgomeryville, PA for a simple oil change. When he drove away with his car after the service was supposedly completed the car just stopped on the side of the road. He called sears and they told him they hadnt done it and he needed to get it towed back. When they finally came out (it was 101 degrees out fyi) they realized they had not put the drain plug back in and they seized the engine. They still tried to make us use our AAA to tow it. When we refused they finally took it back to sears. They told us there were no managers available on a Saturday and there was nothing they could do. They would call us later!!! After many unreturned calls Monday my husband got the number to the insurance company and was told we had to deal with them they couldnt do anything. It is now Wedensday and we finally r supposed to pick up a rental tomorrow and we need to put down 150$ deposit for insurance! And they charged us for the oil change on top of it. They have told us nothing of how they are going to rectify out 10,000 dollar car that is not even paid for yet. They dont even seem apologetic or concerned. Like it happens every day. Our lives have been turned upsidown by their negligence and it is not even registering with sears. A company I have shopped at and trusted for years. What a dissapointment and I will be sure to let everyone know how we have been treated. And if not given back a car in the shape we brought it in i will go as far as letting the news and anyone who will listen to me about it.
