I purchased a 2005 Malibu from Car-Mart in El Dorado in November. My payments were made every week, two days early, by my aunt, who lives in El Dorado, because I work construction and am not always in El Dorado. I changed jobs and my pay date changed. In May I contacted my account representative, Serena, to move my pay date. I did the paperwork to move the date from weekly to biweekly and to change the due date to Saturday. Two months later, my aunt went in to make my payment and was informed that I was two payments past due. Serena never moved the payment date, and parts of each payment were being applied to late fees, so I was never paying a complete payment.
I went in to speak with Serena on July 29th. She was not in the office, so I spoke with another lady in the office, who could not figure out the problem. I refused to pay the late fees because I did have, and did present, my receipts for payment. I was passed to a guy named Bo, who was a large man I assume was sent in there to intimidate me. He put his hand in my face and told me to sit down, shut up and listen. He blocked the door until I listened to him and paid the past due 228.00. What are you supposed to do when threatened except pay the payment?
I then set up electronic withdrawal from my account. Today I got a call on my cell phone from the same bully, saying I am two payments behind and telling me to shut up and listen to him or return the car.
