On 7/20 i reserved a car through expedia.com and i picked up my rental car. I purchased a gps and insurance. The gps did not work and upon my return on 7/29 i was told that i would be charged $75.00 to clean the car because it was dirty. The rental was for 10 days and no where in my contract does it say anything about washing the car.
I was also charged $400.00 for using my debit card and was told that upon receipt of payment it would be refunded. Payment was given and the $400.00 was not credited. I have a heart condition and had my 12 year old son with me and this situation caused me great stress and stressed out my son as well. My blood pressure was so high i almost had a heart attack and barely made it to my flight. This was all very unnecessary and never should have happened.
I would appreciate someone calling me to discuss this situation. I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. Ali-rental agent new that i was going to be driving into the mountains and he suggested the insurance incase of falling rock. No damage was done to the car it just had some dirt from the road after 10 days of driving on it. I have never rented a car and had to take the car through a car wash before returning it-never!
