While on vacation in Florida with my family, I rented a car from Dollar Rental car. I informed the Dollar Rental Agent Iris, that I waived/declined all insurances and she informed me that by initialing the bottom section of the agreement, I had declined all insurances. Which appeared to be accurate.
I don't know if she (agents) make a commission on selling insurance but I was willfully mislead. And when I returned the car, another agent told me I was being credited $382.21 back to my credit card. At that point, I thought I was being charged $57.79 from the $440.00 hold on my credit card. Which would have been correct for taxes. Come to find out I was charged for insurance that I never needed or wanted.
I have e-mailed Dollar Rental car on several occasion but have gotten no where. They won't even return my emails.
I want everyone to know the scam Dollar rental pulls on families while on vacation in Florida.
