Bought a new Civic in Oct. On July 9th the motor stopped, got towed to nearest dealer, left the car and borrowed a friend's car to get back home (500km). The next day the dealer tells me the part (ECU) will take 5 to 7 days to arrive from US (Honda has no stock for this critical part in Canada!). 7 days later they tell me the part is in Montreal and will be delivered the next morning, then I get a call telling me it will now be delivered 5 more days later (the part that was in Montreal the previous day seemed to have disappeared). Called Customer Rep, totally useless, refuse to provide any explanation either for the disappearence or for not having stock in Canada and say they can't do anything. Reject any request for compensation.
The dealer has done everything it can do, Honda Canada has been totally unhelpful. Was very satisfied of my 1st Civic which I kept for 12 years, but this recent experience makes me seriously doubt that I should drive a Honda any longer.
