Morgan-McClure Ford, Inc. Serviced my Lincoln in 12/10. The main service included replacing the fuel pump. The car was not driven until it was shipped to my grandson in California. There it was driven about ten miles and died on the highway. My daughter had it towed to her mechanic which she has used for eight years and knows to be totally reliable, having been in business in this community for many years. His diagnosis shows that the fuel pump is ruined because Morgan McClure did not empyt the dirty, old gas and water from the tank. McClure Service Manager attests to this and it is stated on the service order. I called the Morgan-MCClure Service Manager and explained all of this; I sent him the Californina repair order, as well as the orginal fuel pump (at my expense), and a statement from my daughter concerning her conversation with her machanic. After numrous phone conversations, the Service Manager agreed that I should be reimbursed $700. He sent the request to the office where it was declined. At this point, I spoke with Mr. McClure who informed me that he will not reimburse for his garage's poor work, even though we both know that he has insurance to cover these extengencies.
Not only is this bad service work, the attitude is bad for business - or, at least it should be. Morgan-McClure has no pride in quality of work nor any scruples about cheating customers out of money not earned. This is definitely stealing, in my opinion. A terrible experience in both dollars lost and realization of this comnpany's total lack of integrity.
