Pertaining to the initial post, I have had almost everthing repaired on my car and have been in almost every scenario possible in terms of trouble shooting, in fact i probably should take up mechanics!!! I ve had the car four years... When i first got the car I learned the hard way about the gas cap not being tightened by get a 100.00 diagnostic from the dealer (ouch). I know that when cars run on a computer chip at least my make/model... The check engine light doesn't always mean something bad is wrong with the engine. I know a mechanic who said the light comes on if there's something wrong with the ac component, which has nothing to do with the engine. They almost make cars where you have to get them fixed at the dealer. Not to mention by battery is located under my driver side tire... I found out not all of the models are made like that. I am also looking at my invoices and notice i got charged for 2 diagnostic readings. Why should i have to pay twice becasue it was wrongly diagnose the first time around.

If a shop was able to tell me that my cap isn't tight enough, then it should be able to detect any thing else, if not multiple codes. Ive had my experiences with repairs and dealing with low down mechanics... So I would not dare lash out at anyone not knowing 100% that I am being dupped or taken advantage of...
