Please read this. I know it's a lot, but you will want to hear about this...
Ok in june i bought a brand new vw golf gl. Well i started having problems with the car after only 5,000 miles on the car. I have taken the car 8 times with receipts to no avail. They couldn't find anything wrong the transmission jerks when i put it into gears the cd shows cd error and a few other things.
In oct of last year after going to over 5 dealerships in southern california for different repairs because nothing was being done i took my car to bozzani vw in covina california. I took the car in for the transmission. Another dealership had tried to fix some things and ended up breaking more so i took it into bozzani in hopes that because the service tech there said that they were sorry about everything and that they would make it up to me.
Well needless to say they didn't. I took the car in on oct 8th of 2003 and on oct 9th. They called me to inform me that they had an accident in my car and that it was totalled the front end and while drivers side was gone. The technician that was driving the car was huge. I asked why a 6 foot 240 lbs man was driving my car. Well that's just the beginnning of this story.
I come to find out that the transmission was bad on this car and that the technician had taken it out for a test drive. While on a test drive he managed to get t-boned by a cadillac and hit not one but two light poles. They called me at work and informed me. Of course i started crying im 23 years old and i had worked my rear off for that car. No co signer or anything i was angry. I had gotten it the day before when i still had a car. And went and gathered my belongings out of the car. I took pictures of the car. Which i will soon post here.
Well the service technician told me that they would get me a new car and for my trouble they would get me a 2004 vw golf glx now this is a very expensive car and i was told with the discount that the dealership would give me that it would be cheaper a month than my other car. I went back in and looked at another car and it wasnt what i wanted. I waited two months for the car. Nothing... Another month... Nothing... Kept calling and getting oh it's at this port. It's on its way. Ok fine. Waited some more. Then finally in december the service techician that had been in charge of my account was fired..
And of course i wanted to speak to the owner greg bozzani about this matter and where my car was. Well there was no car never had been she hadn't even told anyone there was a car. She told them that i bought the one off the lot. The car i turned down.
So i wait some more. The car finally comes in january well heres the catch the car is 200 more dollars a month that what i was paying before. I said no and they kept calling with more outrageous deals that where insane. They took 1,000 dollars off the price of the car and i was beyond pissed off.
They couldn't even get me leased for less... So i said no... So that afternoon i was told that the service manager had told no one about anything about a discount. I cannot get the owner to return my calls he called me once in november of last year and when i called him back he never returned my calls.
So here it is feb and my story is still going
two weeks ago i went into bozzani to pick out a used car because after showing me the new golf and telling me a bunch of shit they said that the certified used car was all they could do... After telling me that either you get a car or you bring back the loaner... I would be stuck... Ok i said fine... I've waited. I've been patient.
and omg have i been patient - never yelled and raised my voice nothing... Even though its affecting my work and everything in my life... Stress isn't even the word for it.
So i go into look at used car and i feel in love with this 2001 black on black leather interior beetle glx. Awesome car i wanted it... Low milage clean sweet looking little car... Or so i thought... Last week i took the car to get its check up and was told by a mechanic that the engine smelled like oil and to get it checked... I said ok no problem... Starting looking at the car a little more and noticing things that started to kinda scare me... Like the back seats above it had black soot on the roof there where french fries in the gear shifter and no wiper fluid and dryrot and things that where painted over... Like the leather seats... Bad huh
When i bought this car it was dark and on a work night so i didnt get to go through the whole car and i had to turn in the rental.
So they told me to go through the car and make a list and because of all my trouble they would fix everything on the car. So i did... Well this weekend valentines day. On the way to pay a bill the car overheats and starts smoking. Ive only had the car two weeks. And i had to get 24 hour road side assistance to come and get me. So i went to the dealership on sunday after missing my valentines day plans because of no car.
They got me a used car off the lot to drive while i wait for my car to get fixed because they had no loaners available and enterprise rental was closed... Again i wait... After 5 months of hair pulling mind blowing stress i wait patiently for the hopes that this time things will work out. My boss is getting angry because the stress is affecting me and my time at work. Ive been getting headaches and the time im having to take off is killing my wallet...
Oh and to make things more interesting on me the guy that sold me the golf the first time from new century in glendale is the new sales manager at bozzani and the new service manager. Yep, you guessed it. It's the same one from new century and i didnt get anything fixed at new century and now they are following me.
Not so funny huh? If anyone can help me i would appreciate it greatly i just want to cry and the sad thing is ive wanted a vw since i was 6. Way to scar a person, ey?
