Purchased a extended warranty on the INTERENT for a 97 Ram Pick Up. Just Trying to save Money-Should of purchased warranty thru the dealer. The dealer I purchased the truck thru said Dodge would have paid to replace the Transmission if I had their warranty.
Had transmission problems in Nov Transmission shop said I needed a solenoid body.
They received the Ok to do the work, however the warranty company said they do not pay for gaskets, filter or fluids. I lost $60.40 on these items, when I called the warranty company they said I should have read the warranty after I received it I had 30 days to review it. My Dumb mistake taking there word for things that everything was covered.
As of this writing Jan 27 I never have been Paid by the warranty company. Everytime I call 4 Calls since repairs where complete (which I paid for already) waiting for my check from the warranty company in the amount of $161.50. Total Bill was $321.90, BUYER BE WARE, If you think you received a good deal make sure before giving any money to them. Request a copy of the extened warranty first for your review.
Make sure everything is covered like gaskets, fluids etc being they have to be replaced when you open up a transmission. WATCH the Small Print on the contract. Dealers will work with you on the warranty costs. Be carefull not to GET RIPPED OFF Like I did.
