I puchased a new Silverado in November and have been very happy with it until today. We had an average hail storm today, not a record breaking, news making event. I was very sad to see numerous dents in the hood, roof and box side tops of my truck when I went to my truck to leave work. My sadness turned to anger when I decided to look at the new Ford F-150 that was parked in the next parking stall and had been there all day like my truck (I work with the owner of the Ford). The Ford did not have a single dent anywhere and I looked it over very thoroughly. Why is it that FoMoCo can design, produce, market and sell a vehicle that obviously has much more robust sheet metal than GM at the same cost to the consumer? Does GM not concern themselves with repeat customers? I can guarantee you my next new vehicle will have a blue oval on it (like my previous six new vehicles) and not a gold bow tie.
