Two weeks ago my wife took our Mercedes through the automatic car wash at the Loco location on Broadway. The pressure from the nozzles broke the passenger side mirror where the breakaway spring attaches to the aluminum baseplate. She immediately made contact with someone at the location and exchanged information. She was told this was the first time the car wash had damaged anyone's car. She was told there was a meeting later that day and he would bring the issue to the attention of the folks higher up in the organization.
She tried to call Mr. Lipson the next week, but was told he was out. Yesterday she got a call from Paul, the gentleman she touched base with when the incident initially happened, who told her he had spoken the the manufacturer's rep for the car wash who told him that if the car wash had enough power to break one mirror it should have broken them both and Paul refused to pay anything for the replacement mirror.
I called Paul back, he gave me the same excuses and said he would not pay for the mirror. When I said I would see him in court he gave me the owner's name and I called Mr. Lipson. Mr. Lipson said there is no way his car wash damaged my car, in so many words called my wife and myself liars, and said he could not pay me for the replacement part.
Bottom line is their car wash broke my mirror, and Mr Lipson refuses to do the right thing.
