I bought a brand new 2009 Lexus RX 350 from Kendall Lexus in Eugene Oregon. After taking delivery of the car I noticed a problem with the transmission.
Frequently when the transmission shifts from 1st gear into 2rd gear it slips, the engine revs up about 1000 rps and then catches into 2rd gear.
I contacted Kendall Lexus In Eugene Oregon and talked to the service manager, Rick Strong. He informed me this was a factory defect in the transmission chip and he had told the sales people to notify potential buyers of this problem. I took the vehicle in and had him inspect it and was informed there was nothing he could do until Lexus made a new replacement
chip.
I contacted Lexus customer care, Nell Ramirez @ 1-800-255-3987 and was told there is nothing that Lexus can do. I paid over $40,00 for a defective Lexus that they were aware of it being defective when they sold me the car. I want a new vehicle or the old one fixed.
