Lexus of Kendall, 10943 South Dixie Hwy, Miami, Florida. They sold me a 1997 Cadillac Eldorado that they represented to be in "Excellent and like new condition". I purchased the vehicle on Jan. 9 and paid full retail.
I found a large oil spill on my driveway the following day. I brought the car to my local Cadillac dealer and what they found was that Lexus of Kendall sold me a vehicle with an unrepairable engine. The Cadillac dealer went on to say that"any half wit Lexus mechanic would have discovered this problem on a trade-in inspection".
The cost quoted to me was $10,500 to replace the engine. I requested a flatbed return of the vehicle to Lexus of Kendall so that the previous owner could utilize his 75,000 mile GM warrantee, on a vehicle that had only 56,000 miles on the car. Furthermore, the warrantee was still in effect.
Even though I had not yet registered the car, they ignored my request until the warrantee ran out one month later. The previous owner of the vehicle informed me that he received $10,000 under Kelly Blue Book trade-in value.
This leads me to believe that Lexus of Kendall knew about the bad engine. If that isn't out right fraud, theft by deception or stealing, I don't know what is.
It appears that these Lexus dealers are nothing more than robbers of the public. Over my life time I have purchased over two dozen cars and this the first time I have ever had fraud committed against me.
