The touch screen on my 2008 IS 250 Lexus became frozen this week. There are 18,000 miles on the car. I went to the Lexus service center and was told that only Lexus has the part and it would cost $2400.00 plus labor to replace. I looked up frozen touch screens on this Lexus model and found that it has been a problem for others. The touch screen controls the AC, the radio, the navigator. There is no guarantee that the new unit would not freeze as did the original one. A four year old car with 18,000 miles should not present this problem. Lexus, knowing that this unit has a history of freezing should have recalled them, or taken the responsibility of replacing them when they froze. Please help me recover the cost of this touchscreen replacement. Thank you.
