I should have known when I pulled up to the shop and people were outside with signs stating what a horrible company this is. Unfortunately, I continued to go inside. Since I have never had any mechanical problems with my 2008 Lexus and I was only there to get new tires. WOW, if had only known that after holding my car for four days they would me and state that I needed a new transmission. Hmmm, I thought this a pretty much a brand new car and it was running perfect before I took it for tires. So I had my husband go to the shop and demand an explanation on what was going on. They then told him that they were not accustom to working on this kind of car and they were not sure what had happened. Since my car would not start (God knows why) we had my car towed to a local mechanic where we found out that the battery was dead from a light being left on and there was nothing wrong with my transmission.in fact it was in perfect condition and the had no issues. I then went and noticed that my bank account had been charged not only for the tires that I nver got but a brand new transmission. I of course stopped payment on this since none of the items were ever provided. I notified American Auto to let them know that payment had been stopped. They were not worried about it and said that they had already received the money. I then got a call from collection agencies that they hire. And this is where it gets even better. This company pays American Auto upfront for all claims and then they take matters into there own hands. Seeing getting a call from collection agencies is never a welcome call most people are bullied into paying. I will be getting an attorney and taking this matter to court. Please do not use this company!!!
