Scam! Tried to scam me out of almost $800, lied, manipulated

Warning! Please read before you take your car here. Money hungry SCAM ARTISTS! I sent my car here for inspection. I received a phone call from the manager giving me a whole list of things including, things that were needed for inspection and things that they highly recommended. I was told that I needed 2 engine mounts, a control arm bushing, wiper blades, rear brakes meanwhile trying to confuse me with a number of other items. The bill came to almost $700. With not being employed right now and having two young children I was concerned, but thank god that my husband was smart enough to pull it out. It passed emmisions, so with the $15 coupon, I really didn't lose any money with them. He was certain that they were trying to scam us. I told them I would get back to him in a few minutes that I had to talk it over with my husband and I told him my husband can do the brakes because he has done them before. The guy told me that he probably wouldn't be able to do the brakes because you need a special tool that is specially made. They called back right away and told me they made a mistake and I didn't need the engine mounts and he could tell the money was an issue by the sound of my voice and tried to offer me a better deal but still I would have to pay $400. Boy he really tried to fool me. I pulled it and the guy at the desk was very very rude and unprofessional. He told me in a very rude way that he thought he went above and beyond to help me and its very frustrating when they are trying to earn business and people do this. NO, buddy its not the customers, its you. Meanwhile, he was on a phone call with another customer telling her again a whole list of things needed for inspection meanwhile adding in things that are very obvious that were not needed for inspection like an air filter that was dirty, which they charge $36 for and a number of other things. Thank gosh she asked what was actually required and he had to tell her no, the filter is not actually required, but again it was obvious these people are out to scam. So, after taking my car to another shop, The only thing I needed for my car were rear brakes and my husband can put those on. The sad thing is, if my husband wasn't around, I probably would have fallen for their bullcrap.
