Recently I shipped a guitar amplifier through UPS and insured the item for $1600. The amp was in mint condition when I dropped it off for shipment.By the time UPS delivered the amp it was completely destroyed! The claim I filed was denied by UPS, they said that it was "Insufficiently packed". After reading other reviews online I discovered that UPS scams consumers by selling them insurance that they do not honor. They do not tell you upfront that if you pack your shipment yourself, and they damage it, they will not pay your claim. The consumer is left with no line of recourse. UPS is despicable.
