Went to the BP Vinings carwash in Atlanta on 9.23.10 as I had not had a car wash in about 7 months. As the car wash was ending and the dryers came on, I heard a horrible sound, like someone was hammering on my roof. I thought the car wash was about to fall on me and as soon as I pulled forward, I saw that the 2 long black strips of molding, that run from the windshield to the back window were ripped off the clips that hold them in place. The strip on the drivers side had completely bent and was all the way across the roof and reached the passengers side. I immediately went and talked to the manager, Matthew Dockery, and he observed the damage and took pictures as I also did.
I gave him all my contact info and he said he would contact the owner who would be the one of has to say he will or will not pay for it. After getting an estimate THAT day and calling and telling them the estimate THAT day, I called 4 times in a week yet no one ever got back to me. I now get a call from Matthew saying the owner, David Kwon, will not pay for it because the car must have already been damaged. I am now taking them to court, as the damage for my $7 wash caused $221 worth of damage. My car was just fine and it was the force of the water that popped it off then the rubber tips pulled it all the way over to the opposite side and bent it. Do not go to this car wash as they have not been cooperating and do not care about what their wash has done to their customers car.
