When we picked the keys, we were told to go find the car, and we WERE GIVEN KEYS ONLY. No copy of agreement or nothing. One week before we return my brother mentioned that when he returned his car at AVIS, they charged him for fuel and there were extra charges, that he could not get an answer for.
When we returned it there was a guy waiting who had no AVIS uniform ir id. He asked for the keys. When we returned to the states there were fuel charges, AFTER WE HAD RETURNED IT FULL, and AN EXTRA DAY OF RENTING.
AVIS customer service refused to do anything and said that pre-paid fuel was mandatory, but could not explain why the fuel is not mentioned at the time of reservation.
