Did not pay for rental through claim process and ignores all phone calls

My car was totaled by a Permanent General consumer while parked in a residential parking lot in from of my town home. First Permanent General tried to claim that the accident was MY fault even though I wasn't even in the vehicle when it was hit. Then they tried to say it could have been my fault due to my parking, until they saw pictures of it having been in an actual parking spot. Then after all that the refused or ignored all my calls to deal with the matter, and never once returned any call I left voicemails for. The only time I spoke with someone was if I called 3 or 4 times repeatedly and spoke of getting a attorney. They finally took responsibility for the accident, then I had to fight them on paying for a rental. Once they made a offer to settle, they refused to pay for the rental anymore even though the settlement check wasn't even in the mail. I recommend if someone hits you and they have PGAC, let your insurance take care of you and go after them, I wish thats what I had done. Now i'm stuck paying for a rental until whenever the check shows up.
