I reserved a car at Payless Rental at the San Diego Airport. Shuttle was very slow to pick up and customer service very slow. When we finally got to counter we were advised that since we did not have a copy of our auto insurance policy with us (and who travels with that) to prove that we carried insurance, we would be required to purchase the rental insurance at $12.95/day. I refused and returned to the airport and rented from Hertz.
