We have a 2001 Windstar. Our son got in it put on his seatbelt, started the van and started to drive off the drivers side airbag went off. We take the van to the ford dealership and the computer code was impact code, but there was not impact and no damage to the outside of the van. The insurance company was contacted and they said they found a recall on the airbag so we need to go to ford to get it fixed under the recall which is NHTSA #00V270000 but ford said our VIN number is not on the list to be recalled. I want to know why if we have the same problem with our airbags as the recall windstars why do we not get our problem dealt with. This is a product malfunction, that Ford is not standing by. Thank You
