Pretty much like the other reports posted here. We operate a small business. It's an automotive performance business where we maintain, repair, and upgrade vehicles performance potential. Many pay cash while others opt to use credit cards.
For this particular customer, he paid for his bill with a credit card, then Intuit gladly held on to his $5900 for over two weeks without ever releasing the funds to our bank. I called Intuit's risk management department nearly everyday for an update to no avail. My poor customer was stuck in the middle of this while Intuit had taken his money. They now say that they will refund it, which will take another 2-7 days.
Now I am stuck applying through my bank for another card processing service. That will probably take another week from what our bank told us. My customer will have his money back by then but I will be surprised if he still wants to do business with us.
Thanks to Intuit, I think we will probably lose this sale. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with these people. It will ultimately hurt your business.
