Picasso Collision
Ripoff, fraudulent, dishonest, un-certified terrible work screws the customers the business that doesnt give a dam Fort Lauderdale

On April 9th I took my car to Picasso Collision Custom Paint for an estimate of how much my car would cost to be painted. I spoke with Jason the owner of Picasso and agreed on the price of $2000 to be paid in full for an entire paint job including all materials i.E. Prep and paint. Our decision was reached and I paid him in full using my Amex to complete the transaction. Our oral agreement entailed that the car would be painted in a week after the repairs were finished at another mechanics shop.

The car was delivered to Picasso for the painting and the shop manager confirmed that the payment was made in full and started work on my car.

When the car was then complete to be picked up there was a list of problems, including the paint I chose was not used on the car it was substituted for a $30 brand instead of the $300 brand that we had agreed upon. The stripes of the car were not straight from the trunk bottom to the hood. After closer inspection I then realized that my transmission was broken among various other minor details that had not been filled out. The car is a brand new AC Cobra replica that is valued at $50,000 everything was in working order when delivered to Picasso for the paint job to be total.

My frustrations are the shop manager was no longer there when I went to pickup my car; it was obvious that someone else had done the paint job that was not a certified painter. I was only able to notice these things at first.

When I realized all of these small predicaments I decided to take my car from Picasso but was unable to, as the owner had instructed his employees to not let the car leave. He also stated that I owed him more money on the amount of the $2000 that I paid him in full on 4/9/03. When I insisted on May 24th that I was taking my car, I called the Ft. Lauderdale police to assist me in getting my car.

I was told that if there were an issue involving money, I would have to wait for the owner to arrive before they would be able to assist me in releasing the car from Picassos possession. Jason the owner did not show up while the police were there. Over the weekend of May 26th I decided to write down all the problems on the car I was able to notice, on May 27th along with my brother we met Jason at Picasso and explained all of the issues I had with the job done by Picasso.

I explained to him that I would not be paying any additional money for a job done incorrectly. He released my car, which I then took to South Florida Collision Custom Paint, where the car was then estimated to cost over $3000 for all the repairs to be redone. My car was in perfect condition when it was turned over to Picasso Collision and when returned to my possession was in worse condition than when it arrived there.

Im totally unsatisfied with the work done by Picasso and I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would like American Express to not pay for this job, Im also enclosing pictures of the car before and after for you to take a close look at the job poorly done by Picasso.

Sincerely,
Ahmed
