Luxury Auto Sales of Woodbridge Beware Beware Virgina

We purchased a used car in June from Luxury Auto Sales of Woodbridge, Virginia. We recommend you stay far away from this company to avoid what happened to us.

We found the car online listed for $6K. We arrived at Luxury Auto Sales at 3 P.M. With a $1K down payment. We stayed there for a total of seven hours to complete the business transactions. We do not know why it took so long when it was only one couple in front of us. This couple was from Delaware and we remember of how they complained of their business transaction with the company but we did not give it a second thought at the time. We met with David, the Finance Representative, around 6 P.M. And met with Dean, the Business Sales Representative, around 8:15 P.M... Dean seemed unprepared and made many mistakes. We caught several mistakes on the contract paper work that had to be redone. They were careless mistakes made by Dean at the time he seemed like someone new doing this kind of work for the first time but now it seems that was done intentionally. Our paper work had to be redone about four times. Each time the paper work had to be resigned. We were growing weary by this time in a very hot office because the air conditioner was broken and just wanted to complete the transactions and leave. We did not leave the company until 10 P.M. At closing.

We purchased the Power Trane extended warranty on the used car and now we have come to realize that we were taken advantage of when we purchased this warranty. We questioned Dean why the buyers order showed the sales price of vehicle for $9,137 when the car was $6K. He said he added the warranty in with the sale of the car. We told him that we wanted it separated out and he said he would have to redo the paper work which would take more time.By this time we were already exhausted after seven hours so we did not insist the paper work be redone. We never learned the price of the warranty after asking several times. We monitored every paper work transaction to make sure we had a copy for our records. We received a copy of the AutoLife Rx extended warranty which covers a 5 Year/100,000 miles. We asked for more details about the warranty and was told by Dean that Chrysler the sponsor of the warranty have our information on file from this transaction and they would send us notices in the mail where to take the car for routine oil changes and engine type maintenance repairs. We never received anything from Chrysler about the extended warranty. We called the AutoLife Rx company number listed on the contract to inquire about the maintenance and was informed that they never received our paper work from Luxury Auto Sales and that we should follow up with them. We made several calls to Luxury Auto Sales and was told we needed to talk to Dean and that he was unavailable and they would have him return our calls. We never received his phone calls. We made several more attempts to call the company and always received a busy signal.

It has taken us awhile to get over the frustration and anger to be able to write this complaint. We are still in disbelief that we were ripped off by this company. We did our research afterwards on the internet and found that we were not the only ones with complaints about this company. This company has a Grade F with the Better Business Bureau where we will also lodge our complaint of paying $3137 for an extended warranty above the quoted price of the car for a warranty that we never received. We request a refund or request the extended warranty be honored.
