Imbecile allert! Worst dealership ever!

Well I tried to leave a review on this company before and was apparently unsuccessful! So, this one will be short and bitter-sweet! So, I bought a used 2005 nissan xterra on saturday july 11, at 9 P.M. And didnt leave the dealership until after everyone except the salesman and i had left the building (closing time). On the test drive, which my wife and I were strictly told to only go a couple miles and come back asap, the vehicle drove fine as i thought it should - so we bought it!

Well, after leaving the dealer we were unable to get home, which was 2 hours from the dealership, without noticing something going wrong in the transmission! I then tried to call someone the very next day to talk to someone about the mishap and was redirected to the finance manager who refered me to my extended warranty company. After I spoke with the warranty company, they told me i needed to stay in contact with the dealer because if it was a pre-existing condition they would NOT cover it.

I then, thursday bythis point as my wife and I had called harrelson numerous times with no luck actually getting in touch with a manager, had to call another dealerrship owned by harrelson in order to get in touch with the manager of the facility i purchased our vehicle from! Turned out that the person who reffered me back to the finance dept. Was in fact the manager. His name is Lloyd Edwards, and with no surprise to me at this point, he tried to tell me i hadnt called at all and the fact that he was " just hearing from me on thursday when the car was bought on a saturday" was very suspicious! I tried to tell him i had in fact called every day since the time of the purchace to get in touch with him.

Mr. Edwards then became very defensive, stating he had heard nothing of this sort and why was i able to get in touch with him so easily now? Well, could it be because i called another harrelson dealership in order to get the name of Mr Edwards who was the G.M. - this seemed to infuriate this child of a man aqs he then told me he would no longer stand this " verbal abuse" from me and that he had been recording the conversation, i replied and told him i hoped so, that way there would be no question as to the way i was handled.

Finally, I gave up on the dealership helping me out and told my warranty company what had been going on and that this particular dealership would be of no assistance to us getting this situation resolved! So, the warranty company having a contract with this dealer had to threaten to void the contract with the dealed and that likley a law-suit would foolow closely!

I then received a call from what seemed to be a totally different Mr. Edwards, as he was very calm and somewhat nice - which by this point i was having none of - and told me he was very interested in me leaving a happy customer! What a crock of s*t.

Conclusion: Well, the dealership was eventually cooperative with the warranty company, wachovia warranty solutions which i highly recommend, and we were able to get the repairs done. It should have taken less then a week to do but because of the dealer being un cooperative at the beginning took almost three weeks that i still had to pay my payment for.in the end I thank the people of warranty solutions and the repairing facility - Anderson nissan of asheville - for helping me get this situation resolved!
