Rude management, poor service over phoneM

My husband put $700.00 down on this car that we wanted. When everything was signed and drove the car off the lot, everything was fine. The car ran great on the way home, until a couple days after it started acting up. We bought a 1999 volkswagon jetta, nice looking car, very sharp. The EPC light lit up and the car started to lose power, then my engine light came on. So we decided to call the dealer back and they told us to take it to a mechanic, so we took it to our mechanic and our mechanic called the warranty place since we couldn't get ahold of them, the car dealers claim that they could get ahold of them, but why couldn't we, it was also supposed to be a 24 hour warranty place. But it wasn't.

So anyway the dealers were supposed to call our mechanic, he waited and waited, still no call from the people that sold us the car. My husband would call and call, and their secretary would make up some kind of excuse saying that they are out at some car auctions, but when my husband said well my mechanic needs to speak to the General manager/manager they said hold one moment, and guess what it was either the General manager/manager on the other line. WOW!

I've only had this car for a week and 2 days, and only driven it at the most 3 times and during those 3 times I have had problems. So yesterday being the 29th, I just told my husband I do not want the car anymore, since they are not trying to work with us, they claimed that they are trying to help us, but nothing has been done. I don't mind keeping and paying my car payment, but they have not contacted our mechanic, nor contacted us about whats going to be done.

The general manager/manager was very rude to my husband saying "I have your $1,000 dollars" and my husband replied back and said I'm sorry you don't have my $1,000, you have $700.00. He was also downgrading our mechanic saying he doesn't know what he is talking about, in which our mechanic has been doing this sort of work for 35 years. They also wanted us to have the car towed back to where they were in Lancaster so they can fix the car but they wanted us to pay for the towing. U GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! I'm very outraged by the service we received by these people.
