I purchased a Range Rover and extended warranty policy from Land Rover Dallas in 1997. Before the extended warranty expired, I delivered the automobile to Land Rover Dallas for its 90,000-mile service and to fix an oil leak. It is the fifth attempt to fix an oil leak on this automobile.
After three trips over a two-month time span, my latest oil leak experience, I am $5,065.00 poorer and, alas, the oil leak is worse now than before. I bought a lot of service and a lot of parts, but the oil leak remains. I think it would be a safe bet that Land Rover Dallas' service department is very profitable, including bonuses to owners and mechanics. If you buy from Land Rover Dallas, I recommend you find a better place to service your automobile.
