Christmas my monthly statement said to only pay $35.00 rather than my regular $366.00. I called to verify that this was correct. He told me I was paid so far ahead to take the extra money and have a Merry Christmas. I generally paid a little extra so I didn't think more of it.
Starting in March, I was getting abusive and threatening calls saying I was a month behind. I continued to argue with them for two months. Each time, I begged the rep to investigate it because I DID EXACTLY WHAT THEY TOLD ME TO DO! Not one of them followed up.
I finally contacted my original car dealer, who within two days was able to find out that THEY MADE A BOOKEEPING ERROR and double credited my payment in November. Although it was NOT MY ERROR, I had to mail two payments in June to fix the "missing payment".
A year later, I am still fighting them to correct my credit report. I even have the statement that shows what they billed me and they still deny their error. It is the only item holding me up from buying a house because it shows seven late payments and it's not my error!
All I want is the late fees removed and my credit report fixed. Why is that so difficult for them! I disputed it with each credit bureau and they have it in dispute status because Chrysler stands by their claim which I am sure they didn't even look at it. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and Consumer Affairs. Any other ideas? Yeah, what a Merry Christmas. Thanks Chrysler.
