I took my vehicle to JR Automotive for a shimmy and they told me I needed new brake pads, rear brake servicing and servicing for the bearings.
Less than two months later, I was nearly stranded with a damaged rotor on the left side.
I returned with my truck and they told me I needed new brake pads and a new left caliper.
I decided to do the work myself and bought the parts and went to a certified mechanic on a military base who talked me through the job. He said that JR Automotive could not have changed out my brake pads the first time I took my vehicle to them.
I wanted a second opinion and took the brake pads to the local Napa. They said those brake pads had to be at least a year old.
I took the brake pads to the mechanic at JR Automotive who did the job and he said that they must be very old.
He changed his tune when they proved that they had an order form for new brake pads on the day that they supposedly changed mine out.
There is no way in hell that I wore down over half of the thickness of a brake pad on the side where the caliper was still good as tested by myself and the certified mechanic on base.
JR Automotive would not return my money for the original brake pads but would warranty them through Napa. I accepted the brake pads. After all, I paid $60.00 for them!
By the way, the local Napa told me that JR Automotive orders parts from them and returns an obscene number of new parts back to them unused. Makes you think, doesn't it?
