I have been unemployed now for about 6 months. Capitol One has no type of program or assistance to help out with people who have been laid off. They will not write off any late fees or defer payments unless you are employed. Everyday I get about 10 phone calls about my account... Which is HALF A PAYMENT late! When I call they inform me that I need to be employed to get an extension. Also they tack on late fees and tell me that it gets pushed to the back of my loan so not to worry about it. HELLO... in the end you still have to pay the fees! Don't they see how screwed up the economy is? I wish the government would shut this company down.
