Cariz came to me and my friends with a sob story that their new lender required that all customers convert their retail contract to a lease contract. Carbiz told me they would reduce the number of payments that I owed by 1 monthly payment. They shoved about 15 pages in front of me to sign and no one could explain what I was signing. Carbiz also told me there was a free warranty on the lease but they never showed me the warranty and I have asked 3 times and still have never seen the warranty.
I found out that some people received more than 1 payment in order to convert to a lease. I called for a payoff on my lease and the payoff amount is greater that the payoff was on my retail contract. I also found out that I have to register my car if I pay it off and I have to pay sales taxes and registration fees. No one ever told me this would happen. I also will have a balance remaining when I pay off the lease and I have no idea who will finance the balance.
Carbiz told me and my friends lies so we would sign the lease documents and if we had been told the truth I never would have signed.
