Motors Credit Of America inconsiderate ripoff employee ruined credit

As a three time owner of a Mitsubishi Ecplise I was fairly satisfied with my vehicles. Unfortunately I haven't been as impressed and satisfied with the Finance department and its inability to handle my account professionally and in a timely manner.

Recently, my vehicle was reported total after three good years of payment history (no lates, no missed payments). My insurance company estimated the veichle's worth and handled the claim swiftly and fairly leaving only a small amount unpaid. An amount equal to one month's payment. When purchasing the vehicle I opted for gap insurance, protecting from such events.

To avoid closing my account and paying the difference, the rep. Handling my account insisted that I missed a payment after the claim had been filed. Realizing that that month was covered, she goes back to the beginning and claims that I missed the first payment.

If that was the case, I would have had a negative credit report, a missed payment notice, and a late payment notice somewhere down the line. It comes down to one individual who does not want to do there job and it reflects badly on the company, its employees and the customer.
