The following is a copy of my original email to several people who have contacted me in the last 2 days about this company: Please see the emails I have received from others with similar experiences with this company. They will be towards end of page. Just checked email again and have a very good one posted at very end of this page. Proof positive these guys are crooks)
The following is a summary of my dealings with transworld based out of Florida.: I called transworld before I purchased trans to ask how long from time I pay until time I receive trans. I was told I would receive trans no later than Friday. I paid through paypal so they were paid immediately and verified funds were received. I did not receive trans until the following Wednesday. One major problem I had with transworld was the fact that the number on their Ebay page says to call Dan with any questions.
Over the last month I have called Dan probably 15 times. I never got an answer and the recording always says this caller can not accept messages. Dan said he was having problems with his phone and it would be fixed soon. This was on 2/4, on 2/25 you still cannot get ahold of anyone at this number. Anyway I finally got trans and needless to say after paying my mechanic to install it he says the trans is bad. To be 100% sure he took it to a transmission shop that rebuilds and works on trans.
THe transmission shop said the same thing that trans was burnt up. They actually told me exactly what was burnt up, but I do not remember exactly what he said I think it was gears. This can be confirmed by calling Bentwrench and David's Transmission in Pascagoula, Ms. Well of course I try to call Dan and get no answer and can leave no message. So I email Dan through the "ask seller a question" link on Ebay. I explain to Dan the problem and ask him to contact me at a certain phone number. Dan emails me back, no phone call, and tells me to call his mechanic Earl.
Well I call the number giving for Earl. I explain problem to Earl who then wants to speak with my mechanic. After speaking with my mechanic Earl tells mechanic, and me he will have me a new trans delivered by Friday. Let me say that when I have a problem I do not want to talk to the damn mechanic. I want to talk to the same person I sent my money to. Back to story - Anyway Friday rolls around, and of course no trans. I call Earl and ask if trans is coming today. Earl says he is out looking for parts and unsure if trans shipped or not and that he would call me back as soon as he got back to shop. Most people would have lost it at this point, but as God as my witness I never once was rude, or swore in any shape form or fashion until I finally had to contact paypal. Well never heard from Earl on Friday.
Monday rolls around, I never even asked why he did not call me on Friday, but simply asked about trans. Actually I left a message because I got no answer. Earl calls back at about 6p. M and tells me he took a personell day and is unsure if trans shipped or not, but that he would call me first thing in the morning. To date that was the last I ever heard from Earl. I called several times, left messages, and he never returned my phone call. Tried to call Dan, and of course no answer. I emailed Dan telling him of problems with Earl, asked him to please call me. Nothing, I never heard from anyone until the day after reporting problem to paypal.
So the next day I contact paypal problem resolution, and describe basically what I have just described in this letter. Next day I get a call from transworld. Was it Dan? Was it Earl? No now it is Kevin who explains in his message that the trans they had for me has a broken shell or case somthing to that effect. The next day I receive a full refund. Which I guess is supposed to make me happy. Dan guaranteed me this trans (700r4) would be good. Rebuilt from the groung up.in my opinion Dan is a liar, and a crook, and at the first sign of a problem he pawns it off to another one of the lying crooks that he employs.
I strongly advise you to not do business with this company. Before now I have never left anyone negative feedback, nor had a problem with anyone else on Ebay. All I wanted is what was described on Ebay: A rebuilt 700r4 transmission, and I got a piece of crap that has just cost me more money and wasted just shy of 1 month. Well I hope you are able to find the trans you need, and I hope I am able to save at least 1 person from making the huge mistake i did. Thanks for your time.

You don't have to explain to me, they probably took your money and did not deliver the product. Hopefully you are still within the time frame to dispute the charges with Paypal or your credit card company. I know for a fact they have done this under several business names.

I saw your feedback on the transmission on ebay and was wondering about it. I was thinking of buying a transmission from this seller but he doesn't answer the phone when I call and I cannot leave a voicemail for him.

Hi Bill. Thanks for writting me. Wow... And know what? After I looked into things like you said... I looked in usacomplaints.com. I got more curious. Earls name is attanched to transworld warehouse and other transmission compaies called Next Level, aareman and advanced from what I found. All of them out of business. Seems your guy earl is dans partner. I just dont know... It is all very SCAMMY cause I looked up companies under the florida dept of business and Googled all I can and found all this all due to your heads up... And there are complaints. I am so gladyou let this out. People need to know.
I will say though that I had to look up "Transworld Warehouse" to find it on usacomplaints.com. You may want to make mention of that. Thanks again. I will let you know How I made out.
